Festivities and traditions
“Castellers” or human towers, parades, concerts, dancing, theatre, gastronomic tastings, processions, fire works, only some of the events where you can participate if you visit Costa Daurada. This is because party is the best patrimony in this region, where you can find examples of magical, religious or rural origin festivities inviting you to participate all year long.
Easter week
Easter week in Tarragona is declared as National Interest Traditional Festivity by Generalitat de Cataluña. It is celebrated from the 13th to the 21st of April in the city centre streets. You can find processions, steps, fraternities, and traditions such as the recollection of thyme or eating the “mona” (eastern traditional cake).
Summer festivities
Summer festivities are also important in the different towns, with a diversified offer of children activities, mega-concerts, all kinds of theatrical and musical performances, attracting loads of people every year.
